FAQ
Planning a private yacht charter should feel straightforward. Below, you will find clear answers to the questions we are asked most often. If you need any further information, our charter specialists will be happy to help.
The charter fee generally includes exclusive use of the yacht and its cabins, professional crew, yacht insurance, fresh water for normal use on board, bed linen and towels, and fuel and lubricants for a standard weekly itinerary in Turkish waters, covering approximately 100–110 nautical miles.
Turkish transit log formalities and the standard public harbour fees specified in your offer are also included. Air-conditioning hours, water toys and other onboard facilities vary by yacht and are confirmed on the individual yacht page and in your charter offer.
Unless specifically stated otherwise in your offer, the charter fee does not include VAT, Full Board or Half Board meal packages, soft drinks, drinking water, alcoholic beverages, fuel for motorised water sports, private marina fees, mooring buoys, national park or local authority charges, airport transfers, shore excursions or personal expenses.
Costs related to international itineraries, including Greek island port fees, local taxes, entry and exit formalities, transit logs, additional fuel and other official charges, are also payable separately.
Yes. You may bring your own drinks on board, and no corkage fee is charged. The crew will store and serve them during the charter.
For most international guests, meals are arranged through a separately priced Full Board or Half Board package. Menus can be adapted to your preferences, and vegetarian, vegan, allergy-related and other dietary requirements can usually be accommodated when shared with us in advance.
Yes. For suitable yachts, and where current regulations and cruising permissions allow, nearby Greek islands such as Rhodes, Symi and Kos may be included in the itinerary.
All costs associated with Greek island cruising are separate from the charter fee. These may include port and marina charges, local taxes, entry and exit procedures, transit logs, additional fuel and other official expenses. The applicable arrangements will be explained clearly before booking.
Yes. The itinerary can be shaped around your group’s interests, preferred pace and the selected yacht, within a standard weekly cruising allowance of approximately 100–110 nautical miles.
Embarking and disembarking at different ports may also be possible, subject to the yacht’s schedule and the practical distance between the ports. Repositioning or additional fuel charges may apply and will be confirmed before the charter.
All itineraries remain subject to weather conditions, local regulations and the captain’s final decision regarding safe navigation.
Most weekly charters operate from Saturday to Saturday, although alternative start days may be available depending on the yacht and season.
Embarkation normally takes place from 17:00, while disembarkation is usually by 10:00 after breakfast on the final day. The exact dates, ports and times for your charter will be stated in your offer and Yacht Charter Agreement.
Once we understand your dates, group size, preferred cruising area and budget, we will prepare a focused selection of suitable yachts. After you choose a yacht, we will send you a detailed charter offer.
If requested and approved, the yacht may be placed under option for a limited period. An option temporarily holds the dates but expires automatically if the booking is not confirmed within the stated time.
The reservation becomes confirmed once the Yacht Charter Agreement has been signed and the first payment specified in the agreement has been received. The remaining payment schedule will be shown clearly in your offer and contract.
Children are welcome on private yacht charters. Parents or accompanying adults remain responsible for their supervision at all times, and we recommend selecting a yacht whose layout and safety features are suitable for the children’s ages.
Pets are generally not permitted. In exceptional cases, they may be accepted with the prior written approval of the yacht owner or operator and the captain. Approval must be obtained before the reservation is confirmed.
Smoking is not permitted inside the cabins, saloon or other enclosed areas for safety reasons.
Smoking may be allowed in designated outdoor areas, provided guests follow the captain’s instructions and take appropriate care around the yacht, furnishings and other guests.
We recommend bringing high-protection sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, light clothing for warm days, something warmer for the evenings and any personal medication you may need.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Outdoor shoes are not worn on board, so you only need comfortable, soft-soled footwear for shore visits and evenings out. Snorkelling equipment and other water toys vary by yacht; we will confirm what is available before your trip. Guests who prefer a personal fit may wish to bring their own mask and snorkel.
Soft-sided luggage is strongly recommended, as it is easier to store in the cabins than hard-shell suitcases.
Crew gratuities are customary but remain entirely at the guests’ discretion and should reflect their satisfaction with the service.
As a general guideline, a gratuity of approximately 10–15% of the charter fee is customary. It may be paid directly to the captain at the end of the charter to be shared among the crew.
Charter yachts carry the commercial insurance required for their operation. This does not replace personal travel, health, accident or cancellation insurance, which we strongly recommend arranging before your journey.
Sea conditions vary according to the route, season and weather. The captain will plan each day with guest comfort and safe navigation in mind, but completely calm conditions cannot be guaranteed. If you are prone to seasickness, consider bringing suitable medication after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
