Itinerary · Turkey
This week covers the most varied stretch of the Turkish coast: a river delta guarded by Lycian tombs, a gulf scattered with islands, and a bay backed by a 1,960-metre mountain.

The voyage
Out of Marmaris, the first stop is Ekincik — the gateway to the Dalyan river. Small river boats carry guests past the rock tombs of ancient Kaunos, carved into the cliff face in the 4th century BC, to İztuzu Beach, one of the Mediterranean’s main nesting grounds for loggerhead turtles.
From Ekincik the route continues east into Göcek’s sheltered gulf, where a dozen islands break the sea into calm channels. The anchorages follow one another: Boynuzbükü, Tersane Island with its ruined Ottoman-era shipyard, and Bedri Rahmi Bay — named after the painter who left a fish figure on the rocks here during a Blue Voyage in the 1970s.
Fethiye brings the wider world back for an evening: a market town with a working harbour. Then come the landmarks — Kayaköy, the stone ghost town abandoned in 1923; the Byzantine chapels of Gemiler Island; and the lagoon at Ölüdeniz. Guests who want the view from above can paraglide from Babadağ.
The return to Marmaris leaves room for one more quiet bay.
This is a sample itinerary rather than a fixed daily schedule. The captain may change the order of stops according to weather, sea conditions, berth availability and the needs of the group.
If your group wants variety — ancient history one day, a lagoon the next — this is the route to ask about. Request a charter and we will plan the week around it.
