Sail For…
Let the sea set the pace.
Overview
Begin with yoga on deck, swim in clear water and plan each day around movement, rest and time outdoors. Menus can be arranged around the group’s preferences, while quiet anchorages create a natural distance from everyday routines. Travel with an instructor or simply use the week to slow down.
A gulet is a natural setting for a retreat: mornings begin outdoors, swimming is part of the day and the landscape changes without disturbing the group’s rhythm. Away from hotel corridors and fixed activity schedules, time can be organised around movement, rest, meals and quiet periods on deck.
The charter may be led by an instructor travelling with the group or planned simply as a restorative private holiday. We help select a yacht with appropriate deck space and cabin arrangements, then coordinate the route and menu requirements with the crew.
The day might begin with yoga or stretching before breakfast, followed by a swim in calm water. The yacht can move during a rest period, anchor for lunch and leave the afternoon open for paddleboarding, walking ashore, reading or another guided session. Sunset creates a natural close to the structured part of the day.
This rhythm should remain flexible. Sea and weather conditions affect anchoring, swimming and deck use, while the captain’s decisions always take priority. A well-designed retreat works with the voyage instead of forcing the yacht to follow a studio timetable.
Not every gulet has the same clear deck area. Group size, mat spacing, shade, flooring and the movement of crew must be considered before confirming the yacht. If the retreat requires specialist equipment, sound, treatment space or refrigeration, these needs should be listed at the beginning of the search.
Menus can be planned around dietary preferences and the retreat concept, using ingredients available in the embarkation area and along the route. Allergies and strict requirements must be communicated clearly in advance. The crew can prepare the agreed menu, but specialist nutrition programmes may require input from the organiser or a qualified professional.
Gocek, Fethiye, Marmaris and the Hisaronu Gulf are particularly suited to wellness-focused charters because they offer protected bays, green landscapes and routes that can be planned with shorter passages. Quieter stretches around Bozburun and Datca add a feeling of distance from busier resort towns.
Connectivity varies throughout the coast and should not be presented as completely absent. If the group wants a digital reset, expectations can be agreed internally while essential communication remains possible where coverage allows.
Can we practise yoga safely on a gulet deck?
Yes, on a suitable yacht and while safely anchored, provided there is enough clear deck space. Group size, mat layout and crew access should be assessed before booking.
Does the yacht provide a yoga instructor?
Normally the organiser brings an instructor or requests one separately. Any external professional joining the charter must be included in the guest and cabin planning.
Can the menu follow a wellness or plant-based programme?
Menus can usually be adapted when requirements are agreed in advance. Strict nutritional programmes may require detailed recipes or specialist input from the organiser.
Can massages or treatments be arranged on board?
This may be possible on yachts with appropriate space and through available local providers. Equipment, therapist access and cost must be confirmed separately.
Will we be completely offline?
Not necessarily. Coverage changes by location and onboard system. A digital-detox policy can be set by the group, but complete disconnection should not be guaranteed.

Routes
Seven nights along the peninsula that separates two seas. The route leaves the marinas of Marmaris behind within the first hour and stays in quiet water for the rest of the week — fishing villages, ruined fortresses and the almond groves of Datça.

The right route when the calendar is tight but the appetite is not. Fethiye and Göcek share one wide, protected gulf — which means every day ends in a different bay without a single long passage.

Gökova is where the blue cruise tradition took shape, and this week explains why: a deep gulf of pine forest and clear water, with anchorages that have barely changed in fifty years.
